Accessing the Blackboard Learning Management System
The Blackboard Learning Management Systems (LMS) is the software platform used by faculty at the College to provide a virtual/online supplemental presence to your courses.
Blackboard Confederation College's primary LMS is Blackboard. Blackboard is a web-based application and can be accessed via the Internet on any computer. Blackboard has a variety of features including:
Courses - review your course outline, access learning resources (e.g. presentation slides, assigned readings, assignments etc.)
Announcements/messages - see the latest communication from your instructor/faculty
Grades - find your grades for assignments and your overall grade for the course
Here's how to log in:
Log into My Campus Portal at https://portal.confederationcollege.c (opens in new tab)a. You can also click "My Campus Portal" on the top right of our main Confederation College website: www.confederationcollege.ca (opens in new tab)
Once logged in, you'll see a LaunchPad section on the left side of the page. Click the Blackboard link beside an icon of a black box with "Bb" on it.
Click on your course name.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is Blackboard's built-in web conferencing tool. Courses being taught online at the College will make use of this tool for the actual delivery of the courses. You will have access to Collaborate Ultra once logged into Blackboard, within each course. You'll find it by selecting "Course Tools" on the left menu of your Blackboard dashboard.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is specifically designed for education and training - it is easy to use and you will feel like you are in the same room with your faculty and classmates!

You can easily access Blackboard and Blackboard Collaborate Ultra from your smart phone or tablet by downloading the Blackboard mobile app:
