Using Technology

Ensure you know how to navigate technology (opens in new tab) and that you have a strong understanding of computer foundations (opens in new tab).?These skills will allow you to focus on the academic content of your course work.

Attendance and Participation

It is important that you attend all of your classes and get involved by participating. This includes doing the required readings (opens in new tab), completing the necessary course work, taking notes (opens in new tab), answering questions from your faculty and seeking clarification when you need it. Doing this will allow you to reinforce your learning and assist you with studying (opens in new tab) for your tests and exams.? Assessments are continuous throughout the semester and not solely based on a final exam.

Group Work

Group work (opens in new tab) will be a large part of your college career and at times, can be a challenge. Learning to work effectively in groups is a critical skill not only for success in college, but also success once you are in your chosen profession.
