Check Your College Email Frequently

All students of Confederation College will have a College email account created for them. We strongly recommend that you check your college email account on a regular basis to keep up to date on important dates, application status changes and financial assistance, this is how we will be communicating with you.

Log into my campus at https://portal.confederationcollege.ca

Type in your Username and Password (your Username and student number are located in the top right corner of your Acknowledgement Letter)

The initial password format is as follows:

Fn##############

• F = First letter of first name CAPITALIZED

• n = First letter of last name lowercase

• # = Your 14-digit student number (All student numbers will always start with ‘22663’ and then have your individual student number after that i.e., 100123123)

Example: A student named David Smith with Student ID: 22663100123123, will have a password of: Ds22663100123123.

Please note: Usernames and Passwords are Case Sensitive

Under the “LAUNCHPAD”

Click on “O365 — Outlook” icon

Log into the Office 365 website using your full Confederation College email account and password.

Ex. username@confederationcollege.ca

If you have forgotten your password or have difficulty logging in please contact the Help Desk by calling 1.807.475.6488. We encourage you to keep your contact information up to date. You can log back into your application at ontariocolleges.ca and update the Contact Information tab on your current application.

Adding College Email to Your Smartphone

The Confederation College Computer Services Department is responsible for providing all information technology (IT) and audiovisual (AV) support services to the College community. This includes student/academic IT resources such as computer labs, help desk services, student network accounts, network/internet services, academic software and other technology-related services.

The Computer Services Help Desk is the central point of contact to obtain computer or technology-related support for all users at Confederation College. Contact us at helpdesk@confederationcollege.ca or (807) 475-6488. Students in the region should call our toll-free number, (1-800-465-5493), then press * and 6488.

To access “MY CAMPUS” — your student portal, visit www.confederationcollege.ca and click on the “My Campus Portal” link at the top of the right-hand corner. Use your login information provided in your Web Registration email to access your Blackboard and Banner information systems and register for your classes to receive a schedule (timetable).

All students pay their remaining tuition fees when completing web registration and no later than April 7, 2025. If a tuition payment is made after April 7, a $150.00 late fee will apply.

The Financial Aid Office is available to help students in need of financial assistance.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Residents of Ontario studying in ministry-approved, postsecondary programs may be eligible for federal and provincial financial assistance to help meet their educational costs. The OSAP program is a mix of loans and grants, with more grant funding (non-repayable) made available up front. You may be eligible to receive enough grant funding to cover the cost of your tuition.

APIWIN serves as a home away from home for Indigenous students, offering an environment where they can gather, connect to the community, find support, and access essential resources. At the heart of APIWIN are our dedicated Indigenous Student Advisors, committed to supporting students through their academic journey. Whether you require academic or personal supports, our Indigenous Student Advisors are here to provide compassionate assistance and empower students to thrive in their educational pursuits.

1. Community Building: The lounge serves as a hub for Indigenous students to build a supportive community. It offers opportunities for students to meet, socialize, and collaborate.

2. Cultural Connection: APIWIN provides a welcoming environment where Indigenous students can connect with cultural workshops and seminars. Daily activities help to promote this.

3. Academic Support: The Indigenous Student Advisors offer academic resources such as referrals to tutoring services and academic-based workshops. They help Indigenous students excel academically and navigate the challenges of college life.

4. Cultural Events and Workshops: APIWIN often hosts cultural events, workshops, and guest speakers to educate the campus community about Indigenous history, issues, and perspectives.

5. Wellness Support: Recognizing the importance of holistic wellness, Negahneewin Student Services provide resources and activities focused on mental, emotional, and physical well-being. This support can include counselling services.

Oshki-Anishnawbeg Student Association (OASA)

Advocacy and Representation: OASA provides an opportunity to serve as an advocate for Indigenous students' needs and rights on campus. They organize events and work with administration to ensure Indigenous voices are heard and respected.

Self ID

If you are an Indigenous student, we invite you to self-identify by completing our Indigenous Self-Identification Form within the New Student Orientation modules or connect with an Indigenous Student Navigator in Apiwin.

For the purpose of this survey Indigenous is defined as below:

“Aboriginal Peoples of Canada” is defined in Section 35(2) Constitution Act, 1982. In this Act, “Aboriginal Peoples of Canada” included the Indian, Inuit, Métis Peoples of Canada. First Nation is sometimes used in place of the legal term Indian.

The International Education Centre

The International Education Centre (IEC) is the hub for all the international activities at Confederation College. In addition to the student support available to all students, international students can also access a range of specific services at our International Education Centre (IEC). The International Education Centre:

• Serves as a first point of contact for international students for emergencies, issues or concerns

• Acts as a liaison and refers international students to relevant departments and services

• Arranges mandatory health insurance coverage for international students in Canada

• Offers immigration advising and a range of workshops on immigration topics pertinent to international students

• Offers academic advising and other support services to international students

• Hosts workshops on a range of topics throughout the year

• Hosts a dedicated website, Instagram, and Facebook page for the international student body

Web Registration

Once you have received an offer, been accepted into your program and arranged for your fees, you are still required to register. Registering online is quick and easy at How To Register Page.

Review Options & Elective Choices

Students are allowed to select various general elective credit courses as part of your learning experience. The number of elective options available to you depends on your program choice. For more information, visit General Education Electives Page.

Check Your Schedule (Timetable) Often

Log into “MY CAMPUS” and go to your Banner account to review your schedule. We recommend you check your schedule often as details may need to change.
