Some sessions, like Program Orientation, are mandatory and provide direct access to your program coordinators and essential tools. New and returning students can take part in key orientation events designed to help you start off on the right foot. Whether you're joining in-person or remotely, these sessions connect you with staff, classmates, and the tools you'll need for a smooth start. Mandatory Program/Campus Orientation

Program/Campus Orientation is mandatory for all students to attend. Meet with your program coordinator, faculty and classmates and learn about what you need to succeed in your program.

    Join the Paterson Library Commons virtually to learn how to use library tools, locate program-specific guides, and cite sources properly. This session also covers key strategies for developing a Growth Mindset, building resilience, and achieving academic success. Prizes will be drawn at the end—students must attend the full session to qualify.
  • Start Smart: Growth Mindset & Library Navigation (In Person)

    Attend this in-person Start Smart session to explore how to use the college library, access customized research guides, and get help during your semester. You'll also learn how to apply a Growth Mindset to overcome academic challenges and stay motivated. Prizes will be drawn at the end—attendees must be present to win.
