New Indigenous students are invited to take part in Indigenous Orientation for the Fall 2026/2027 semester. This orientation is a welcoming space to help you get connected, feel supported, and prepared as you begin your college journey. Students will have the opportunity to meet Apiwin staff, learn about our Indigenous student supports, connect with other students, and find out about upcoming programming, cultural supports, tutoring, advising, and community-building opportunities. Whether you are new to campus, new to college, or looking to build connections, Indigenous Orientation is a great way to start the semester with support, community, and a sense of belonging. Your journey matters, and we are here to support you!

Join the Paterson Library Commons on Thursday, September 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST for a series of workshops that will help you with the skills and tools you will need while attending the College: - How to navigate around BlackBoard and the Portal - Change and update information in Banner - How to use the Library resources to your advantage - Accessing your email and Office 365 and saving files while on campus - How to find out what events are happening on campus and around Thunder Bay! - And having fun breaks in between where we can get to know each other and make friends before the year even starts! Register for StartSmart! (hyperlink to come) The web conferencing link will be emailed to participants Wednesday, September 2nd, before 4pm. There will be prizes drawn for participants at the end of the final session; winning students must be in attendance.
