Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is the disability service office for Confederation College students. SAS provides academic accommodations and supports for students with permanent and temporary disabilities/medical conditions.
To register with SAS, students are required to provide medical documentation outlining the functional limitations of the disability/medical condition. Interim accommodations may be provided to students who are being assessed or waiting on documentation. All disability documentation is kept secure in the office of Student Accessibility Services.

For this new Photo-ID card system, Confederation College has partnered with a company called identityOne to provide the College with a modern Photo-ID card system. Highlights of the new system include:
Online ID card application and photo submission.
Options for students to get a choice of a Mobile ID card (to work on your phone/mobile device) OR a traditional Printed Card.
For students attending the College in Thunder Bay opting for a Printed Card, the ability to visit a Self-Service Kiosk to get your card printed during regular Shuniah building hours.

Order your textbooks early to ensure you have them in-hand when classes begin. E-books may also be available. Order online at BookStore or contact the bookstore at (807) 475-6225. Orders can be shipped directly to you or you can visit us on campus Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm in the Shuniah building.
If you are a sponsored student you can order your books online. Under ‘payment’ click the ‘sponsorship’ tab, enter your student ID number, and click ‘find accounts’. Input your contact information and a password. Your final step is to complete the order. You will now see your sponsoring agency and your available textbook funds. Once you agree to the terms and conditions you can ‘pay’.

All Thunder Bay campus students will receive a membership to the Confederation College Wellness Centre, Minowaadiziiwin. This on-campus facility has a double court gymnasium, weight and cardio workout areas, an elevated walking/jogging track and multipurpose activity centre. The Wellness Centre is currently open with certain restrictions/limitations and protocols in place to support member health and safety during the ongoing pandemic. The Confederation College Thunderhawks Varsity Athletics program competes within the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association. Our Thunderhawks Teams include golf, cross-country running, men's & women's indoor soccer and men's and women's mixed curling, and women's hockey. All full-time domestic postsecondary students* are automatically enrolled in our DOMESTIC STUDENT HEALTH & DENTAL PLAN as part of your student fees. The Plan, administered by SUCCI, Your Student Association, provides affordable health insurance designed especially for students. You have 3 options to consider before the DEADLINE DATE: May 28, 2025.
Opt Out – If you are covered under another health plan, apply for a refund.
Flex-Plan – Choose the plan that works best for you!
Family Opt-In – Add your spouse/dependants for an additional fee.

*International students are not covered under the Domestic Student Health & Dental Plan. They have separate health insurance coverage provided by StudyInsured. The cost is included as part of their tuition fees and coverage is set up for each international student in Canada by the International Education Centre.
